Good news and bad news. The good news, Converse is celebrating the opening of a store in San Francisco next week by throwing five nights of FREE concerts at the famous Slim's. These concerts include bands like Mastodon, Suicidal Tendencies, High on Fire, Saviours, The Bronx, and many, many more.
The bad news…
If you are just finding out about these awesome nights of music, you're shit out of luck.
Converse offered fans the opportunity to enter a lottery for these sought after tickets by selecting the top two shows they wished to attend, and said lottery closed Tuesday the 18th. Those who were chosen have received their confirmation and are probably doing back flips somewhere.
My advice to you would be to befriend someone in the Bay Area then hypnotize them into giving you their ticket. Don't do anything immoral, just elaborate.

I've been to Slim's many times. It's one of my favorite rooms. Seeing Mastodon there at this stage in their career is sure to be a phenomenal experience, High on Fire and Saviours would just be icing on that sludgy/stoner/etc cake. One can't help but wonder if they'll drop in any new material that they're heading to the studio to record. Also, Suicidal Tendencies with The Bronx? So good! Even the not-so-heavy nights are solid.
Well done, Converse.
So, congratulations you lucky few. Everyone else hates you.
The store will be opening soon, and will be located at the corner of Market and 4th Street according to SF Gate.
