CRAZY TOWN Is Still Around, Fighting Each Other & Kicking Stage Monitors

Shifty Shellshock is having a bad time.

Crazy Town

Crazy Town, the rap rock band responsible for the 2000 hit single "Butterfly", is still around and having a pretty rough go of things.

For starters, vocalist Seth "Shifty Shellshock" Binzer threw around a stage monitor during an April 22 Crazy Town show at Hooligans Live in Jacksonville, NC. Video obtained by The PRP (which has since been set to private) shows Shellshock kicking a stage monitor off stage before venue staff appears to come over and tells him to pick it up.

The song ends and Shellshock explains himself to the crowd, saying "[It's] playing everything but my vocal." He later added that he means no disrespect but just wants it to "play my vocal. [It's] playing every instrument but my vocal. Loud, it hurts me."

Then one day later on April 23 during a show at the Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill in Myrtle Beach, SC, Shellshock simply didn't show up. Co-vocalist Bobby Reeves was left to perform the entire show, who at one point addressed the crowd saying "I'm so mad at fucking Shifty right now, I'm trying hard." Footage later shows there was an altercation between Reeves and Shellshock, with Reeves' face pretty banged up.

Apparently there was a disagreement over cuts for the show's guarantee for the April 23 show, which led to the fight between Shellshock and Reeves. Reeves has since taken to Instagram to note that "Me and Shifty got in a little scuffle, but it's all good. We're brothers… it was no big deal."

A similar meltdown occurred during a January 27 show at The Canyon in Agoura Hills, CA, which found Shellshock kicking over stage monitors, throwing microphones, and appearing to harass their drummer. So just in case you were headed to a Crazy Town show anytime soon, this seems to be some variety of what's in store.
