Classic black metal act Deströyer 666 has been out of the picture ever since its 2009 record Defiance. Six years later and a resigning to Season of Mist and we'll finally be getting some new tunes this year! Or seemingly this year, as the group is set to hit the studio this month.
Guitarist and vocalist KK explains the downtime between records in terms that line up with Season of Mist CEO Michael Berberian's sentiments of the group being hard to deal with.
"I have been busy with what every red blooded headbanger wants to do, tons of sex, drugs, and heavy metal – just a lot more from all of it than I had planned. Well, now I have taken a break from such things to finish the album, deal with wankers, and start gigging again."
Sex, drugs and rock and roll? Or working a day job? Maybe a little bit of both, but we'll see how six years of downtime has done for the group soon enough.
