AVENGED SEVENFOLD Have A New Label Home, Settle Lawsuit with Warner Bros.

Avenged Sevenfold took the world by surprise this week by unveiling a new single called "The Stage," which harkens back to the City Of Evil days. The single seemed to be well-received by fans and critics all around, though we won't know if the album its off of will be called Voltaic Oceans or not until October 27.

The PRP did some sleuthing on the track info and noticed that the band has found a new home at Capitol Records for this release. More specifically, the band appears to have its own imprint under the label called Avenged Sevenfold Partnership. At the very least, the imprint put the single out digitally – no word on if it'll put the whole album out under that as well.

The label change isn't a huge surprise, given their tumultuous relationship with Warner Bros. that resulted in a lawsuit. Seeing as though the music is released on a new label, it seems that Avenged and Warner have settled the issue out of court. Avenged Sevenfold exercised a seven-year rule claiming the label “underwent multiple regime changes that led to dramatic turnover at every level of the company, to the point where no one on the current A&R staff has even a nodding relationship with the band.”
