In Flames recently announced a deluxe vinyl edition of their 2000 album Clayman. The vinyl edition comes with a special 10" of four re-recorded songs from the album by In Flames' current lineup. The re-recordings haven't exactly been well-received, including by our selves. Though in an interview with Gear Gods, engineer for the re-recordings Chris Lord-Alge has offered some advice to those who don't dig the new versions – don't listen to 'em.

"I’m not really concerned with copying the old sound, I’m just trying to make the new sound feel more current. So, you know, they can be mad about it, but look – if you’re mad about it, listen to the originals."

This advice can also be taken for basically any album or artist you don't like. Just don't listen to it, and then you won't. be hearing something you don't like. Simple!

You can order the Clayman reissue here.
