Ah, the new Tool album. If you were to read the coverage and contradicting statements regarding the album, you'd probably be less informed and more confused than you are currently. While historically it seems like Tool has been waiting on vocalist Maynard James Keenan, that might not be the case.
Keenan says in an interview with Yahoo that he wishes Tool would work quicker, and that he actually finds the slow pace at which Tool works pretty tedious.
If Tool was more prolific, if they were a little steadier, if we could get things done a little faster I would probably be happy. But things take a long time, they’re tedious. The other guys are very meticulous and I get bored. So I have to go do things in between. The perception, of course, if that they’re waiting on me. No, that’s not the case.
On the plus side, it seems like A Perfect Circle will actually be releasing a new album in 2017 (per the rumor).
With any group of very strong-willed people – even with A Perfect Circle; we’re starting to work on some stuff as well – it’s always a struggle to find your groove within the personalities.
So hey, at least a new A Perfect Circle is coming, right? I think it's safe at this point to just give up on new Tool for the time being.
