The world was forever changed on the night of Friday, November 13th. By now, you surely know the story. During a meditated attack on the city of Paris, four terrorists stormed into a music venue, Bataclan, where Eagles of Death Metal were performing and systematically killed nearly 100 people, a few of which worked in the music industry.
Save for an official statement, Eagles of Death Metal have kept relatively quiet, until now. Frontman Jesse Hughes and founding drummer Josh Homme (who was not playing the show) sat down with their friends and Vice for the first official interview since the attacks.
Vice is still likely editing the interview, but did release this tense teaser trailer for the video, which includes some horrifying details from inside the venue from the perspective of frontman Jesse Hughes.
Hughes, barely keeping his composure can be heard saying:
“Several people hid in our dressing room and the killers were able to get in and killed every one of them – except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket,” Hughes stated. “People were playing dead and they were so scared. A great reason why so many were killed is because so many people wouldn’t leave their friends. So many people put themselves in front of people.”
Here is the trailer, we'll keep you posted when the full video is up…
