If you're not familiar with Necromancing the Stone by now, shame on you. As a quick refresher, the group features vocalist John Williams and guitarist Justin Wood of Brimstone Coven, guitarist James Malone ofArsis, bassist Ryan Williams formerly of The Black Dahlia Murderand drummer Jeramie Kling of The Absence. We've posted two of their songs by now and loved them so much we hit the band up for their third and final single. Get evil!

Is anyone even surprised this song is just as good as the first two singles? I love that the music sounds like it should be death metal, but then the vocals are just powerfully layered to deliver the same punch growls would. Supreme! I caught up with drummer for the group Jeramie Kling (The Absense), who explained exactly what the band would be up to now that they've dropped their final single.
"In the next few months we are traveling high up onto Mount Thrash to a cave that contains the earthen stone. We will undoubtably emerge with a record of gratuitous size, filled with Mystics, Sirens, Wizards, Headless Horsemen and the likes."
I then asked Kling where Mount Thrash was exactly and he told me it was this one.
So if you see this mountain within the next maybe… year or so, head on up. Necromancing the Stone is totally up there recording the greatest album that has ever been laid to anything worth being laid to.
