Slipknot and Five Finger Death Punch are two of the biggest rock bands on the planet, so it can be easy to see how fans sometimes compare the two acts.
For Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody, he would rather stand on his own ground. Moody was interviewed by iHeartRadio's Bodhi, and when Bodhi brought up that he dressed like Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor for Halloween, Moody playfully joked:
"Nobody ever wants to be me, everybody wants to be Corey. F-you, Corey."
In a very laid back (and not at all dramatic tone), Moody continued:
"Corey and me have a really fun nature of competitive, y'know, whatever. And I just think it's funny – I have kids that come up to me all the time saying, 'You and Corey. You and Corey this, Corey, Corey, Corey.' And I'm like, 'I get it! I get it!' It's like, 'Jesus, Corey, take a break. Gimmie some love man.'
Now it's obvious Moody isn't about to start a war of words with Taylor like Chad Kroeger mistakenly did last year, but it does seem like he would prefer if you not compare him to Corey.
We're not trying to start any drama here, so you can hear the laid back tone of Moody's voice at about 13:14 in this interview:
