Reports emerged last year that Manowar guitarist Karl Logan had been arrested in August. These counts reference offenses that took place between June 18 and August 2 of 2018.
Now it looks like Logan will be facing federal child pornography charges. He’s charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, for allegedly having six disturbing videos showing a child as young as 4 years old engaged in sexual acts.
Logan's lawyer, Brad Smith, tells WSOC TV Logan has been “extremely cooperative with the investigation from the beginning, and he’ll continue to do that." Smith seemed to insinuate that there would be an explanation for the charges.
“You oftentimes do see with those that do end up pleading, there’s a direct correlation to something that happened in their childhood,” Smith said.
Logan is out of jail on bond and will make his first court appearance next week, likely on Tuesday.
WCCB Charlotte filed a report last year with details of what was found in Logan's home leading to the arrest.
Fair warning – what you're about to read is extremely unsettling and vile.
The warrants say Logan was in possession of several videos which depicted girls between the ages of four and 12-years-old engaged in a variety of sexual acts with unidentified men. Each video is described in graphic detail, including one scene where a girl age 10-12 “chokes and becomes visibly upset.”
