Ghost Bath, the North Dakotan depressive black metal band that initially played it off like they were from China, is in the studio recording a followup to its highly-publicized 2015 album Moonlover right now. Personally, I just can't get into the group, but maybe the new record will change that? The vocals sound like a crying baby with a lower voice throwing a tantrum over some Deafheaven riffs, and it just doesn't do anything for me.
Oh, and the band said it was in the studio by way of quoting Herman Melville's Moby Dick, which is just… so painfully pretentious. The album is being recorded and produced by producer Josh Schroeder, and will be out spring 2017 via Nuclear Blast.
