So Christopher Amott announced that he's leaving Ghost Ship Octavius to go work on a new Armageddon album, which is great! Except Armageddon is half of Ghost Ship Octavius… what gives?
Alright, so this all started out with Amott stating he wasn't staying with Ghost Ship Octavius:
"I'm focusing entirely on a new Armageddon album. We are in rehearsals at the moment. There's a lot of news to be announced, new members and so forth. We have almost completed writing the album."
Fine… except have you ever looked at the Ghost Ship Octavius lineup and the Armageddon lineup? Ghost Ship Octavius (used to) consist of former Arch Enemy guitarist Chistopher Amott, former God Forbid guitarist Matt Wicklund, former Nevermore drummer Van Williams, bassist Sara Abrams, and 17-year old vocalist of Adon Fanion of literally nobody famous. Armageddon consists of the first three people on that list. So whether Wicklund and Williams will be bailing on Ghost Ship Octavius isn't obvious right now, but keep your eyes peeled. It might be coming.
