The Juno awards, which is basically the Canadian equivalent of the American Grammys with a whole lot less suck apparently, have released their full list of nominees for all their categories of awards.
The main difference between the Juno awards and the Grammys? The Juno awards actually know what belongs in the category of "Metal/Hard Music of the Year." The nominees for this year are Anciients' Heart of Oak, Gorguts' Colored Sands, KEN Mode's Entrench, Protest the Hero's Volition and The Flatliners' Dead Language.
Wow. It's like the award show's committee actually did their homework on the topic! No word on if the show has hired a solid closing act but plan on cutting them off with commercials or leaving out ridiculously important people in their "In Memoriam" segment.
