They said it'd be back in 2018 and they were right!

They said it'd be back in 2018 and they were right!

It's no secret we're big fans of Heavy Montreal, so we and tons of other people were understandably bummed when the festival announced Heavy Montreal 2017 wouldn't be happening. Some of the factors for its cancellation included "the renovations at [the event's holding place] Parc Jean-Drapeau and the increase in cultural events during Montréal’s 375th Anniversary," though the promoters promises Heavy Montreal 2018 would absolutely happen.

Heavy Montreal has announced that the 2018 edition will happen between July 28 and 29 at the île Notre-Dame at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, QC, and you can RSVP to the event here! Oh, and according to the promoters, you can vote on the lineup at the festival's website. So go ahead and cast your vote here and make sure you keep an eye out for ticketing information!

Heavy Montreal 2016 included acts such as Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, Black Label Society, Candlemass, Despised Icon, Kataklysm, Napalm Death, Volbeat, and a ton more.
