High On Fire announced back in December they were working on a new album with drummer Chris Maggio (Wear Your Wounds, ex-Trap Them) in place of drummer Des Kensel, who left the band in 2019. Though it appears that Maggio may have only been a temporary solution to High On Fire's drummer problem.
High On Fire played their first show in a while over the weekend and they seem to have also announced their new drummer – Coady Willis (Big Business, ex-Melvins). Check out Willis and the band jamming through "Baghdad" below and keep an eye out for some new High On Fire hopefully soon!
"It felt so good to get back on stage again, and to experience the exchange of energy that only happens between a band and a live audience. Thank you to all who attended!
"This was also our first show with the mighty @coadyscottwillis on drums – thank you Coady for bringing the thunder!
"We look forward to doing a lot more of this in the near future!"
