A little while ago Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera said that there would probably be a new Killer Be Killed record in 2016, though he was just ging to go with the flow and whatever happened with it would be fine with him. Now we know for absolute certain that a new record is happening! According to the band's Facebook, riffs and ideas are currently taking shape and one everyone in the band has the time to get together and jam, things will happen.
A little catch up…to let you guys know where we're at. We're all in various states of touring or not with our other bands, but we're stockpiling riffs and ideas, parts and song sketches, making sure we've got a lot to hack through and whittle down when we get together. Trying to see where the next windows of opportunity are for us to be able to record or play. In the meantime, in September, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 comes out on PS4 and XBox One, and it's got "wings of blah blah and blah blah" on it. Trying to play it cool, but not gonna lie, that's pretty killer. So if you wanna pretend to skateboard around with us yelling at you there you go. Why isn't Troy a playable character that's what I wanna know. Okay that's all for now.
This will be the band's sophomore effort and its first with Converge drummer Ben Koller, after the departure of Antemasque drummer Dave Elitch.
Also, it's awesome the band will be in a new Tony Hawk game! That game series got me into some awesome music as a kid, so it's nice to see that the franchise continues to support great music and expand gamers' musical horizons.
