Killswitch Engage fans, rejoice! You won't have to wait another four years between records like you did between the group's 2009 self-titled release and 2013's Disarm the Descent! Granted that was due to vocalist issues, but still- four years is four years. Current vocalist for the group Jesse Leach posted the below video giving fans a whole slew of updates regarding Killswitch Engage and Times of Grace. Let's start with the former!
Leach said Killswitch Engage is starting to demo and collect ideas for a new record, which they'll begin to take a little more seriously toward the end of the year.
"[We're] starting to demo, starting to get some ideas for the new record. [We're] starting to have that discussion, which is exciting. But that'll be awhile, probably not 'till late this year, early next year when we start reviewing some of that stuff. So that's something that's definitely in the works."
He also heavily hints that the group's show at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts will be filmed for some kind of upcoming release. That or a live music video, but let's assume the former because that's way more exciting! He also touches on his project with Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, Times of Grace.
Times of Grace was formed in 2007, a full five years before Leach joined Killswitch in 2012.
"We've had a few conversations about what we're gonna do moving forward. We'd like to do an EP, but again, as you can see, I'm pretty busy with Killswitch and The Empire Shall Fall So we'll see if we can squeeze that in, but have no fear. I know I've gotten a lot of emails about this, and I assure you Adam and I are stoked to do another EP or an album. So that will continue to happen. When? I'm not sure. But it's happening."
In short, prepare to hear Leach a pretty decent amount in 2015.
