Korn's track record of making its scheduled dates in 2017 has not been stellar. Korn initially cancelled a bunch of tour dates in May, cancelled its performance at Pointfest due to Jonathan Davis' voice being in terrible shape, and now the band has cancelled its upcoming performance at the Alternative Press Music Awards. Interestingly, the band performed just this past weekend at the massive Chicago Open Air festival.
Like the May dates, Korn has not offered an explanation as to why they've backed out of the awards show aside from "unforeseen circumstances." Hopefully everything's alright in the world of Korn?
This is not the first time Korn backed out of playing an award show. The band cancelled their appearances on two separate occasions on the Revolver Music Awards, causing the editors of the magazine to vow to never put them on the cover again.
