LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe Is Working On Music For A Ballet

No word on if Blythe will be donning a tutu.

Randy Blythe has been up to some really interesting projects lately. First there's that mystery project he was working on with Testament guitarist Alex Skolnik on an iPad, which we're still not 100% sure what it is. Then there's Teenage Time Killer that features Blythe, members of Corrosion of Conformity, Dave Grohl, Jello Biafra and every single music that rocks on the planet. Now he's working on… music for a ballet to be performed by the Richmond Ballet. Whoa.

Blythe told Radio.com in an interview:

"I’m actually doing a piece of music for the Richmond Ballet, their New Works Festival, my buddy is choreographing that, he’s a professional ballet dancer, I’m composing that right now. I’m not a pianist or anything, but I have the ear to write music. I can’t play guitar or whatever, but with the way digital editing is, you can compose little tiny bits at a time. It’s a lot of fun and I think I’m going to get my buddy Alex Skolnick from Testament to lay some atmospheric guitar tracks on that, and we’ll be in the ballet world!"

I would tend to think the project isn't the one he was working on with Skolnik seeing as Blythe said it'll probably never see the light of day, but who knows? Maybe this was the appropriate channel for whatever that was. Regardless it'll be interesting to hear what these two cook up in terms of music for a ballet!
