Linkin Park made their name climing the ranks of the late 90s nu-metal scene and eventually broke out of the scene and became bonafide pop stars. Their debut album, Hybrid Theory, was the most sold album of 2001 (with 4.81 million copies sold that year, beating out Shaggy). The band's fanbase clearly stuck around with the LA group since then, as they are currently ranked as the ninth most streamed group in Youtube history, according to Chart Data.
Chart Data ranked the banks based on the amount of views "official" videos had on Youtube. Here is how the top 10 play out. It should be noted, the rankings are limited to groups, not solo artists.
#1: Maroon 5
#2: BTS
#3: Coldplay
#4: The Chainsmokers
#5: Imagine Dragons
#6: One Direction
#7: Blackpink
#8: Henrique e Juliano
#9: Linkin Park
#10: Banda MS
It is interesting to see the group data tends to favor pop rock bands. Then again, most hip-hop and mainstream pop acts are solo.
Still, kudos to Linkin Pasrk on the achievement.
