LINKIN PARK's "Numb" Hits One Billion Plays On Spotify

Linkin Park is still very, very popular.

Linkin Park Numb

Linkin Park's 2003 track "Numb" is their second to hit 1 billion plays on Spotify. The first was unsurprisingly "In The End," which hit 1 billion plays last June and is now on its way to 1.3 billion. The music video for "Numb" on YouTube uploaded in 2007 has 1.7 billion plays, so it's not exactly surprising that the song's popularity has translated over to streaming services.

Digging into the numbers behind "Numb" and its album Meteora is a pretty good snapshot of just how popular Linkin Park is and was. The single has sold over 4 million copied in the United States alone (and is certified in nine other countries), while Meteora has sold over 7 million copies in the United States and 3 million in Europe.
