Lock Up, consisting of bassist Shane Embury (Napalm Death, Bent Sea, etc.), drummer Nick Barker (ex-Dimmu Borgir, ex-Catalepsy, etc.), guitarist Anton Reisenegger (Inner Sanctvm, etc.) and vocalist Kevin Sharp (ex-Brutal Truth, Venomous Concept, etc.), is writing a new record to be released sometime this year!
According to the group's Facebook, Embury and Barker have been locked up at the Lock Up headquarters diligently writing some new material lately. This will be the group's first record since Necropolis Transparent in 2011 and third record in thirteen years! Thankfully we don't have to wait like we did between 2002's Hate Breeds Suffering and 2011.
This will also be the group's first record with vocalist Kevin Sharp, who replaced At the Gates frontman Tomas Lindberg in 2014.
