MARTYRDOOM Bring Death And Gloom On "Bloody Incarnations"

While I'm generally known as that dude who jams lots of tech-death, I've always had a soft spot for sludge and doom, though more so when I was growing up. For awhile there I got away from jamming slow and gnarly metal. Lately, I've been trying to broaden my horizons again and have found myself once again enthralled with creepy and dark death/doom in the last year or so. Which is exactly what Poland's own Martyrdoom deliver in our premiere today for "Bloody Incarnations", a promising track from a band you're going to want to check out.

The song cultivates a horrific atmosphere through its immediately frantic and bestial opening, only later diving into lumbering dread and slow repetition. Mimicking torture while delivering music that's pleasing to the ear for those of us into dark and foreboding sounds. The band's unique mixture of death metal and doom stands on its own, which is pleasantly surprising since death/doom is hard to pull off in a captivating way oftentimes. Though to be fair, "Bloody Incarnations" features faster tempos throughout than the band, and death/doom in general, is known for.

Today's premiere comes off their upcoming album, Grievous Psychosis, set for release in late April through Memento Mori Records.  If you dig what you're hearing, Grievous Psychosis is available for pre-order through the Memento Mori Records website. Be sure to follow Martyrdoom over on their Facebook page as well.
