MASTODON recently updated their website with a trailer for Crack the Skye, the almost-close-to-being-here follow-up to Blood Mountain, which you can watch right here. Although there's still no release date, we can now tell a few things about the new album.
1. The opening track, "Oblivion," has at least a few measures of a slow, ominous riff.
2. "I flew beyond the sun before it was time"
3. Something about an "R" rating.
You may already know that Crack the Skye should be out in spring, a lo-fi bootleg of the song "Divinations" is streaming here, and that this album will probably slay. Now watch some live footage of "Where Strides the Behemoth" after the jump
