MEGADETH Is Plotting "A Really Big Surprise" For An Upcoming Buenos Aires Show

Maybe more Marty Friedman?

Megadeth just announced a handful of South American tour dates, though frontman Dave Mustaine is promising something huge for just one of 'em. Mustaine urged everyone not to miss the Buenos Aires show on April 13 at the Argentina Movistar Arena, as Megadeth has "a really big surprise" planned for that one.

"April of 2024 Megadeth returns to South America to support our latest record, The Sick, The Dying, And The Dead!, and I always get excited because there is something truly different about South America. I don't know what it is… but whatever IT is, they come by it naturally," said Mustaine. “We are also planning a really big surprise for where 'Aguante Megadeth' all started in Buenos Aires, too! So… if you can, DO NOT MISS THAT SHOW!"

The obvious guess here is that Megadeth will be rejoined by Marty Friedman once again, as they were in Japan and again at Wacken. But who knows! Get the tour dates below and make sure you get a ticket for that Buenos Aires show here.

And if you're wondering what the hell "Aguante Megadeth" is, it's a chant that began in Argentina in 1994. It loosely translates to "Megadeth rocks" and is chanted during "Symphony Of Destruction". Now you know.
