With Metallica's 3D movie, Through The Never on the horizon, the band is getting into full promo-mode with some killer announcements this morning, mainly that they will be playing a free gig at the world-famous Apollo Theater next month in Harlem, NY. That's crazy!
The band will be performing on September 21st at the Apollo, one week before their movie is released in IMAX theaters. The show will be free, but getting tickets will require either being a member of the Metallica Fan Club or an active SiriusXM subscriber.
Additionally, the band announced the return of the all-Metallica channel, Mandatory Metallica on channel 111 on SiriusXM, starting Sept. 13th at noon.
