It's a good day to be Nick Oliveri. The former Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss bassist is former no more, as he announced he will be involved with both projects in the future.
First up, Oliveri confirmed he will be appearing (as a guest) on the upcoming Queens of the Stone Age album. That's great news for long time QOTSA fans, as Nick was a part of some of the band's best material. He joins fellow collaborators Dave Grohl, who will be drumming on the album, and Trent Reznor, who will be contributing to a track.
Additionally, Oliveri confirmed he's back in the fold with Kyuss Lives!, the band that features every member of Kyuss that isn't Josh Homme. You may recall the band was entangled in a lawsuit with Homme over the rights to the name, and I guessed they settled it because the band will now be referring to themselves as Vista Chino. The band will play one final performance as Kyuss Lives! at Australia's Soundwave Festival in February.
