No, SLIPKNOT's New Album Title Doesn't Mean They're Breaking Up

The end, but not really.

It seemed logical to assume that maybe Slipknot was thinking about a hiatus given the name of their new album is The End, So Far. Though you'd also be wrong in assuming that.

During a show at the Hills Of Rock festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on July 21, Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor told the crowd that the album title signifies a transition and not an actual end. It's also worth noting that The End, So Far is Slipknot's final record on Roadrunner Records, which probably has something to do with what Taylor calls "the end of one moment and the beginning of the rest of our fucking lives."

"I'll tell you what, some of you might have heard the news that Slipknot has a new album coming out very, very soon. The name of that album is called The End, So Far. And for those doomsday motherfuckers who think that Slipknot are gonna break up, that is not the case. This simply represents the end of one moment and the beginning of the rest of our fucking lives. Do you understand what I'm fucking saying to you out there?"

Pre-orders for The End, So Far are available here and you can check out the latest single "The Dying Song (Time To Sing)" below. You can also catch Slipknot on tour at one of the many dates below.
