Ozzy Osbourne released his first new solo album in 10 years Ordinary Man last week. This week, he's released something that's a little more free and a lot more endless – a browser-based arcade game. Go play Legend of Ozzy here and listen to the new album while you're at it!
Ordinary Man features producer and guitarist Andrew Watt, bassist Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses), and drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chickenfoot). Ozzy is planning on teaming up with Watt sometime in March to potentially write another solo album. He recently detailed his though process and plans in a Reddit AMA.
I am making another album because while I can't tour, I can make music. What I learned from Ordinary Man, it got the juices flowing again. People say they write the best songs when they're unhappy, and I was unhappy last year. I don't have a favorite song from Ordinary Man because I was writing a new song every day! After I'm doing this doctor's run I'm going right back into the studio to make another album with Andrew Watt. If it comes out anything like Ordinary Man, I'll be well pleased.
For those unaware, the "I can't tour" bit is in reference to the cancellation of the North American portion of his No More Tours 2 tour.
