The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced its nominees for the Class of 2019.
According to Rolling Stone, those eligible to be inducted this year are Radiohead, Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Rage Against the Machine, The Cure, Devo, Janet Jackson, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, Roxy Music, Todd Rundgren, John Prine, MC5, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Stevie Nicks, and The Zombies.
The fan vote is now open, the top artists voted for will be announced in December and the induction will take place on March 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. To be eligible in 2018, each artist has to have released a single or an album in or before 1993.
Pitchfork points out that while acts like Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode and Bad Brains were nominated in the past, those artists did not receive the nod this year. Notable metal acts like Judas Priest (who were nominated last year), as well as Iron Maiden and Pantera, have been omitted from the nominations.
This year's nominations of Def Leppard, Devo, Prine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks and Todd Rundgren marks the first time they've been nominated for the hall.
