RAMMSTEIN Comment On Uncertain Summer Touring Plans In Light of Quarantine

As much as I didn't want to believe the experts (some saying shows wont be back until fall 2021), the acceptance is slowly coming over me. One of the big shows I was not missing for anything this summer, was Rammstein's massive stadium tour. Let's be real though, even though it hasn't been officially postponed, there's no way big stadium shows are happening this summer.

While no official decrees have been made in the States (and for what its worth the President had hoped that stadiums be opened up in August), in Germany, they have already made it clear that no public gatherings can happen until at the earliest, August 31st – resulting in Germany's Wacken Fest being officially canceled. Rammstein's big stadium run had them playing Europe in the summer and then North America in the early fall.

While the band stopped short of saying the shows will be postponed, they offered a vague statement that basically amounts to "we're working on it."

“Recently, several international governments have extended their bans on large-scale events. Also affected, unfortunately, are some of the dates for the 2020 Rammstein Tour.

“We are working on a solution for this difficult situation together with our partners in all the affected countries, and we hope for the understanding of those who have purchased tickets for the coming shows.

“As soon as we have precise and definitive information, we will communicate this immediately.

“Until then we ask for your understanding and patience, and we would also please request that you refrain for the time being from addressing further questions to the local event organizers, the band management, or the ticket systems. An update will follow as soon as possible.”

If I were Rammstein, I would just reschedule everything to happen in 2021 and call it a day. In the States, it's not like they can push the stadium shows back to the winter. It will be too cold. The earliest would be spring 2021.

Whenever these shows happen, you best believe I will be there.
