On April 29 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Will Ferrell will be hosting the Red Hot Benefit Comedy + Music Show & Quinceanera. The pairing makes sense since they're basically the same person, right? Smith will be choosing the music, Ferrell will be supplying the comedy with Funny or Die, and maybe Lars Ulrich will show up… we'll see.
Here's what Ferrell had to say about the event.
“I have only one great regret in life and it’s that I never actually celebrated my quinceanera. I’d like to think it was just a simple oversight by my mother, but there has been a void inside me for many years. Growing up on the mean streets of Irvine, California, I have vivid memories of all my friends celebrating their quinceanera. Well, on April 29th at the Shrine Auditorium, with Red Hot Chili Peppers and a bunch of other really talented comedians and musicians by my side, we are going to right that wrong, and everyone is invited.”
All the money raised from the event will be going to Cancer for College and Silverlake Conservatory of Music. You can get your tickets right here on March 8 and 11.
