In 2012, Revolver was acquired by NewBay Media LLC, and now in 2017 the magazine has once again been sold and acquired. Revolver has been bought by digital media and e-commerce company Project M Group, and has crowned ex-Editor-In-Chief Brandon Geist as its new Editorial Director and Chief Content Officer, according to All Access.

Revolver is about to come back stronger than ever and I think our fellow metal diehards will be just as stoked as I am when they see what we have in the works. Look out for a big relaunch this fall.”
No word on what the "relaunch" is yet, but it doesn't sound like this whole changing of hands is going to affect the publication's schedule or staff in any major way… we hope, anyway.
