The likelihood of AC/DC announcing world tour dates soon seems like a guarantee at this point. Plenty of rumors about shows around the world have popped up, all exacerbated by the recent gossip that bassist Cliff Williams will not be joining them on the road. All we know right now is that AC/DC has posted a teaser on their social media, asking fans if they're ready. So it's either a tour or AC/DC has very faithfully covered their own material, and is a teasing some re-recordings – we're guessing it's the touring thing.
It's not clear if AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd will be there either, as Matt Haug replaced Rudd at AC/DC's recent appearance at Power Trip. All we know is that Rudd told New Zealand magazine Stuff at the time of Power Trip that he "looks forward to playing with them again in the future … rock on." Though officially on paper as far as we know (and seeing as there's been no announcements about a lineup change), AC/DC is guitarists Angus Young and Stevie Young, Johnson on vocals, Williams on bass, and Rudd on drums.
An AC/DC tour will be the band's first since 2016, and first full trek with Brian Johnson back on vocals. So stay tuned and maybe go riff around on your Gibson SG in the meantime.
