Some interesting developments have been happening in the AC/DC camp. Drummer Phil Rudd, bassist Cliff Williams and frontman Brian Johnson all seem to be back in the fold, recording a new record. The band was working on new music through the holidays at the end of 2018 and into 2019 and could very well be done by now, according to previous reports. Deceased rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young's tracks have been rumored to have made the record.
With Johnson out and about and his hearing issues seemingly resolved, the question turns to touring. Can Johnson handle it and will he be out with AC/DC when they go and promote this blockbuster album? A recent report from metal DJ Eddie Trunk seems to suggest Johnson will be there.
Trunk noted that a "reliable source" told him that the band is planning a tour with Johnson in toe. The idea for the next AC/DC album is that it will be a tribute to late guitarist Malcolm Young, which would make sense given the rumors that some of Malcolm's unreleased material would be making the cut on the album.
You can hear Trunk's report below. Are you happy Johnson is back in the fold or would you rather AC/DC tour with Axl Rose?
