The end of 2014 has proved extremely interesting for The Faceless. In one fell swoop, the group lost drummer Alex Rüdinger and bassist Evan Brewer. Shortly thereafter, vocalist Geoffrey Ficco bailed as well, leaving founding member, guitarist and vocalist Michael Keene all by himself in The Faceless.
As the speculation begins on who's going to be replacing whom, Sumerian Records, the band's label, seem to be either teasing or hoping for the return of former vocalist Derek "Demon Carcass" Rydquist!

This makes sense to me. Obviously Rydquist, who did vocals on the group's 2006 release Akeldama and 2008's Planetary Duality, and Keene don't hate each other given Rydquist recently filled in on vocal duties for the group! Maybe they even talked about it then and knew Ficco was quitting? Then again, maybe Rydquist is not so much into touring or being in a full-time band, so he wouldn't even be up for it. Then again, maybe The Faceless could become a studio band? The possibilities are endless here.
The bottom line is 2015 better deliver some new The Faceless material with an awesome lineup!
