If you've ever thought to yourself, "Ya know, I really like Sunn O))) but their songs are so short and the tempo is way too fast", then Sabazius's truly epic eleven and a half hour song "The Descent of Man" may be right up your alley. With an intro that consists of roughly two hours and fifteen minutes of droning feedback, this juggernaut of a song gives new meaning to the word "lumbering".
If you think you've got the fortitude to endure this monster, go ahead and start streaming the song via the YouTube video below. Or you can hold out until Earache Records releases the song on a spiffy USB drive contained in a skull, which is pictured above. But, keep in mind, there are only ten of these USB drives going on sale. So, if you're a collector, you'd better monitor Sabazius's blog closely for release date details.
Fun fact: The file size for "The Descent of Man" is 6.66 GB. METAL!
