In the June 2013 I wrote about Solution .45 being in the pre-production stages of some new material, but nothing ever came of that. Or nothing ever came of that until Wednesday, Mar. 26, when the band announced they'd be recording two albums this year. Two! The band said the two album will be recorded simultaneously and released within intervals of a few months starting sometime toward the end of this year. They also said it wouldn't be a double album, but an album in two parts "linked to one another sound, layout and concept-wise."
The band will start recording drums in August at Dug-Out Studios with Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah, Soilwork, Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth), while the rest will be done at the Panic Room Studios with Plec, who did most of the work for the group's debut 2010 record For Aeons Past. I wonder if any of this material is the same material from June 2013 or if that all got scrapped? The world may never know.
