SUM 41's DERYCK WHIBLEY Says He Is Not Joining LINKIN PARK

The internet has been abuzz with chatter about Linkin Park's big announcement tomorrow. Their big announcement just so happened to coincide with Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley's planned announcement, leading to speculation that the two announcements were related and Linkin Park would announce a reunion with Whibley on vocals.

Well, we still don't know what Linkin Park's big announcement is, but we know it doesn't involve Whibley, according to a statement he posted on Twitter.

“I feel the need to dispel some current rumours. It’s been brought to my attention that many people think I could be joining a reuniting band. But I just want to say, despite popular belief, I am not joining Oasis… or Linkin Park. Or any other band for that matter.

“I have my own ‘tour and book’ announcement that I will now move to the end of the week, ahead of our U.S. tour.

“I do look forward to seeing whatever both these amazing bands do in the future.”

I guess we'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out what the big Linkin Park announcement is.
