Testament may have been quiet for the first half of 2011, but that's just because they were busy churning out a brand new thrash opus to rape our ear pussies with. The band is set to release The Dark Roots Of Earth later this year, in October. The band is currently recording the album with Andy Sneap, a man who knows his metal (previously working with Megadeth, Exodus and countless others). As we previously reported, the band has enlisted Gene Hoglan and Chris Adler to help fill in on drums for the injured Paul Bostaph.
But that's not all. In a recent interview, Chuck Billy announced that the band has plans to interview with Anthrax, Overkill and Death Angel in October/November to promote the new album release. That sounds like a really exciting tour for thrash fans to attend. It's sorta crazy how thrash is seeing these huge resurrgance. This is a tour that would not do nearly as well 15 years ago as it would now. Good to see all these bands getting their due!
