Let's get one thing straight – The Acacia Strain has only been getting heavier and more terrifying over the years, and it's awesome. Coma Witch was a damn fine record, and I urge to you at least give its 30+ minute audible horror movie closer "Observer" a shot at some point, if only because you need to hear how slow and unbearably heavy it is.
Now it's time to see where The Acacia Strain goes from releasing material like that, as the band has just wrapped up its new record.
Finished 100% of my vocals for the record today. The weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

This will be the band's first record with bassist Griffin Landa, who also participated in the writing of the new material.
So a new record is on the way, and something else is clearly brewing with Thy Art Is Murder, or at least one would assume so as both bands posted the same picture on Facebook.
Hey, remember when we posted in March about The Acacia Strain doing a new record and also having two songs done for a split with an unnamed band? Hmm…
