The Acacia Strain frontman Vincent Bennett has been relatively quiet on social media in recent weeks, tweeting mostly music he's listening to and retweeting friends. But early today, he wanted to make one thing clear. If you don't think black lives matter, Vincent does not want you listening to The Acacia Strain.
Bennett tweeted: "Hi it’s been a while please stop liking my band if you don’t think black lives matter."
Perhaps sensing the blowback was coming, Bennett followed it up with some sound advice: "Before replying to a tweet you should jerk off and see how you feel after."
The Acacia Strain slowly released their new album Slow Decay over the course of five 7" records between February and July. Slow Decay has finally been released in its entirety, and features two additional songs that were not part of the EP series. Listen to those songs here.
