THE ACACIA STRAIN Postpones Australian Tour, Looks For A New Drummer

It's happening in 2024, now.

The Acacia Strain recently parted ways with longtime drummer Kevin Boutot. "I didn't go into this last tour with the intention of it being my last one, but it indeed was," began Boutot in his statement.

The Acacia Strain has now issued their own statement on the matter, saying they're pushing their Australian tour to 2024 as they look for a new drummer. Much like Boutot's statement, The Acacia Strain also notes that there is no bad blood between themselves and their now ex-drummer.

"As many of you are likely already aware, our recent Canadian tour was the last tour for our long time friend and drummer Kevin Boutot," wrote The Acacia Strain.

"We wish him and his family well, and thank him for his many years with the band. The unexpected change has caused us to need to move this tour around through. In an effort to make sure that we have a new drummer solidified before we play this AU tour.

"We have had to move it to January of 2024. The good news is that the lineup remains the same, so Dying Wish and Volatile Ways will still be joining us for the tour.

"Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you in January."

The new Australian tour is as follows.

1/11 Brisbane, AUS – The Zoo
1/12 Newcastle, AUS – Hamilton Station Hotel
1/13 Sydney, AUS – Crowbar
1/14 Penrith, AUS – Tattersalls Hotel
1/16 Canberra, AUS – UC Hub
1/17 Melbourne, AUS – Prince Bandroom
1/18 Geelong, AUS – Barwon Club Hotel
1/19 Adelaide, AUS – Uni Bar
1/20 Perth, AUS – Amplifier Bar (no Volatile Ways)
