The Desert Daze will be headlined by Wu-Tang Clan, Ween, The Flaming Lips, and Devo. The festival will also see the return of The Locust to the stage for the first time in four years. The band has been off hiatus since 2013 but haven't done much since 2015. Even better, Brooklyn Vegan reached out to bassist and vocalist Justin Pearson to see if The Locust is planning on any new material to follow up their 2007 record New Erections. They are.
“We do plan to play more, and function as a normal band again, with new material, and new uniforms as well. I guess the world is getting more and more fucked up, so we need to do our part to set things straight.”
No word on what this means for Dead Cross, Pearson's band with vocalist Mike Patton (Faith No More) and drummer Dave Lombardo (Suicidal Tendencies, ex-Slayer), but still very exciting news!
