Slowly, more information is surfacing on this Tim Lambesis case and things are getting ugly. Tim was arrested earlier this week after attempting to hire a hitman to murder his estranged wife. Late last night, his band commented, although it was basically a "no comment" from the band.
Today, UT San Diego has uncovered Lambesis' divorce papers and this is when things can start getting ugly.
Meggan Lambesis filed for divorce in September of 2012 after eight years of marriage citing “irreconcilable differences.” As for why she filed for divorce:
She wrote in the court papers that in the previous several months, she had seen changes in her husband’s behavior “that concern me regarding his ability to care for our three children.”
The couple had adopted two girls at ages 6 and 8 in 2011 and a 1-year-old boy in 2009, all from Ethiopia.
“Specifically,” Meggan Lambesis wrote, “he has become obsessed with bodybuilding and spends a great deal of time lifting weights, hanging out in the gym, and being unavailable to the children.”
There were other claims uncovered, which amount to him spending half the year on the road, spending thousands of dollars on tattoos and high-end vehicles as well as ignoring his children while supervising them.
Additionally, she quit her job working in a private school to take care of their three kids, and filed that the couple claimed $233,000. She did not specify an amount she was requesting for spousal support.
Divorces can get really ugly, and we honestly still have no idea what happened. Needless to say, Lambesis certainly put on a significant amount of muscle in the last few years, but that does not prove anything and ultimately this is not for us to judge. The court will decide what happens.
Lambesis' arraignment is set for later today.
