The live event industry is trying. Be it virtual concerts, drive-in concerts, or some attempts at "socially distanced" concerts, some promoters are willing to try anything in these problematic economic times. The newest idea: vertical concerts. While this might not catch on globally, it was certainly an interesting idea.
MetalSucks reports that Ukrainian band O.Torvald recently played a show in the courtyard of a hotel and all the attendees watched from the balconies of their hotel rooms. Fans brought their own drinks and stayed the night.
The event certainly looked like a success. But in most places, the price of a hotel is usually more than that for a concert, so this might be cost prohibitive for most acts.
Would you attend a "vertical concert."?
