Canadian blackened death metallers Weapon have called it quits after 10 years. I'm a little bit bummed out.
So according to the band's Facebook:
There is no drama surrounding this decision: it is time for us collectively, and more importantly, as individuals, to move onwards and upwards towards other paradigms. We extend our gratitude to all who helped us succeed and of course send a massive "fuck you" to the ones who tried in vain to make us fail.
Blessed be ALL who bled for the Devil under the sign of W!
This comes off the heels of the band releasing their Naga compilation, which is all their early stuff on one album. Shame they've decided to call it a day, but at the very least they went out on a good note! Seriously, go check out their final album, 2012' Embers and Revelations. It's an absolute killer. Here's to hoping they go on to do bigger, better things! They've certainly got the individual talent for it.
