I'm looking forward to the week where nothing bad happens to anyone, but here we are- another week and another bit of bad news. Within the Ruins frontman Tim Goergen checked himself into a hospital for a second time since the band hit the road only four days ago. The band continued to say Goergan said he was experiencing "chest and stomach" pains before the tour and as of Apr. 20 was told he would not be released from the hospital at that time. He is stable though despite having heart and liver complications.
So get well Tim! We're pulling for you! Here's the band's full statement.
"Yesterday morning Tim checked into a hospital here in Western Mass for a second time since our tour began four days ago. We will unfortunately not be performing at today's Eat Your Heart Out Fest, as we are waiting for clarity on Tim's condition and release. Tim informed us a few weeks before leaving for tour that he was experiencing chest and stomach pains. After his first doctor visit he was advised to 'take it easy' if he did do the tour. At this point all we know is that he is experiencing heart/liver complications, will not be released today, but is stable"
