Last night, Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono revealed exclusively to the RIP a Livecast the band's next plans for touring the United States and North America as a whole.
Maruizio was promoting the band's upcoming album, Meditations, out next Friday, June 1st and we asked why the band only have a select amount of album release shows planned. The routing is as follows:
6/2/2018 Saint Vitus – Brooklyn, NY*
6/3/2018 Northside Yacht Club – Cincinnati, OH*
6/4/2018 Reggies – Chicago, IL*
6/7/2018 Whisky – West Hollywood, CA**
* with JUNGLE ROT
** with EXMORTUS
After joking that the reasoning was being lazy, Maruizio revealed that there were plans for a fall tour, but because of all the competition with other tours, they decided it would be best to wait until early 2019 to do a full tour.
Maurizio gave the RIP a Livecast the scoop that the band will be bringing their European package over to North America, meaning it will be Kataklysm and Hypocrisy touring together in early 2019, just in time for the release of the new Hypocrisy record.
Hear the reveal below and listen to the entire episode, where Maruizio talks more about the tour with Hypocrisy, his love of pizza and who puked on the recent 70,000 Tons of Metal show.
