With The Safety Fire all prepared to release their second album, Mouth of Swords, what better time for guitarist Derya "Dez" Nagle to get involved in an accident?
Just to quell your fears; yes, he's okay and his hands were not damaged. Which is really all that matters, obviously. According to The Safety Fire's Facebook page:
The lid himself, your boy playgle aka Dezzo, was in a road accident last night. He is going to have to undergo surgery soon to fix his face and teeth, so send him some love. Fortunately his wizard fingers are fine, so while his face may not be quite as pretty, it won’t effect any of our tour dates. TSF x
Nagle even got involved in the interaction, saying about the accident:
Thanks to everying for their support and concern over the last couple of days. Unfortunately I was involved in a cycling accident and landed on the right side of my face. I had my first surgery today and will be having a few more over the coming weeks. Few weeks of rest and all will be well. Albeit with a few more scars.
